The state of farrockstar.com

We felt we owe it to the active visitors to the site and Stack Bundles fans to explain the downtime over the past couple of months.

What we’re doing is working on a bigger project, which is called the “Rap In Retrospect” series; a free, downloadable, 3 part mixtape which will include some bonus “exclusive” footage. This has depleted our “update stash” and we were hoping to get help from others. In the process, a lot of those “other” 3rd party releases (from people outside of the site’s circle) are becoming rare and we lose track of how much time passes with no updates. We apologize on our part for not working on finding new shit ourselves to release — but we are working on new outlets with new people to make that happen, as well as a new setup for the site in the very near future which will speed the updates back up to normal.

Stack Bundles will live on forever, so farrockstar.com will remain. Stick with us.

Stacktober 21, 2009.

Happy Born Day to Far Rock America’s Icon.

He would have been 27, but we most definitely know he will live on forever. Through his fans, through his music, through his voice, through those who he crossed paths or worked with. $tack Bundle$ forever.

Dre Most, 1976-2009

As most of you have probably heard by now, Dre Most was fatally shot yesterday (January 11) in South Jamaica Queens. As it relates to Stack Bundles, you’ll immediately recognize his work under several editions of Hood Affairs (DVD) where he directed the videos for Try’N Provoke Me and Peep Game — among several others. On behalf of farrockstar.com, our deepest condolences and prayers go to his family and friends.

2008 – The Music [audio]

This will conclude the 2008 recap with what brought us all here in the first place — music from Stack Bundles, the ARTIST. While it doesn’t look like much happened throwing it in one pile; every track released made it’s mark throughout the year and gave us a reason to stay optimistic for what’s yet to come.

For the first time, we heard some of his first tracks ever recorded, as well as his very last. We heard interesting collabs, from Lupe Fiasco to Jae Hood, and Lil Wayne to Tony Yayo. Tracks for Commercials and tracks for commercial appeal. His soft side, not so soft side, and everything in between.

If this is any indication of what’s about to come out from the various vaults his work has been stored in.

Then 2008 wasn’t shit.
